And coming to the end of the book, I realize how truly she speaks to the heart of anyone suffering from a chronic illness, whatever that may be; that their experiences and feelings about that illness are shared by others, because Honrbacher has given those feelings a voice.

I actually CAN imagine what it’s like to live with Bipolar I, because Madnesa Hornbacher bring you along on her journey with painful honesty in her usual intense style. There is plenty of books about bipolar disorder which cover the illness from the official medical point jarya view causes, symptoms, treatments.
It’s difficult, beautiful, painful, full of laughter, madmess strange. She is also completing a manuscript of poetry and a manuscript of essays and has a novel in the works.
