You can walk or take a short scooter trip to the grocery in Massouri; it’s a 20 minute scooter ride to Pothia. Since most Kalymnians live and work at the same place, their studios usually remain available all winter so lodging should not be an issue. If you do hire a scooter, take it easy: At first I was a little taken aback by the price of the guidebook but after using it for a week and considering all the additional routes compared to the previous guide I now consider it good value.
